Phospholipids seminar: Nutrition, application and technology

Øresund Food Network, the European section of the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) and the organizing committee would like to welcome you to the Phospholipid seminar: Nutrition. application and technology.

The seminar takes place at Øresund Food Network’s premises in Copenhagen on October 23rd and 24th, 2008. The seminar fee is 3000 DKK / 400 Euro / 3800 SEK.

Participants can register online for the seminar and for the seminar dinner. Deadline for registration is the 10th of October 2008. Please read the practical details before registration.

On the first evening of the seminar, Thursday the 23rd of October, a seminar dinner is arranged at restaurant Huks Fluks, situated in the center of Copenhagen at Gråbrødre Torv. The seminar dinner is open to all participants and is included in the seminar fee.

The seminar will offer unique possibilities for researchers in academia, industry and governmental bodies to present and discuss important aspects related to nutrition, applications and processing of phospholipids.

The seminar is organised in three sessions:

  1. Nutritional aspects of phospholipids with particular focus on sphingolipids and omega-3 phospholipids in nutrition
  2. Applications of phospholipids in food and pharma with particular focus on physico-chemical functional properties of phospholipids 
  3. Technological aspects with particular focus on processing and modification on phospholipids

Market trends and consumer preferences will also be discussed. The meeting will be a mix of invited and non-invited presentations and will also include a poster session.
